Game three of the HCC series with Noblesville saw a great pitching match up as Reese Sharp (IU Commit) of Noblesville toed the rubber vs. Matthew Meyer (Sinclair CC commit). Meyer started the game by walking the first two batters, then settled in and got out of the jam. Noblesville never really threatened again as Meyer would go on to pitch his way into the WHS history books with a no-hitter on 103 pitches. Offensively, the Rocks plated single runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings to support Meyer and secure a 3-0 victory. In addition to pitching 7 innings of no-hit, no run baseball while striking out 10, Meyer also went 2 for 3 at the plate with an RBI and a double. Logan McClurg added a double. Bryce Dorton, Eli Patchett and Payton Tamm each collected a hit as well. The Rocks now stand at 3-4 on the young season (3-3 in HCC play) and will open their next HCC series at Ken Seitz Field versus HSE on Thursday, April 19 at 6p.
