Meet Recap
The Westfield Boys Cross Country team finished 4th at the Golden Bear Invite at Shelbyville, tying for 3rd but getting edged on the 6th man. Nick Leahy led the way with an outstanding 4th place finish overall. Max Gutwein, Noah Douthit, Samuel Novak, and Gavin Clinkenbeard joined him in the scoring.
The highlight of the day, however, was the JV race. In brutally hot conditions, the Shamrocks won the meet with a fine score of 21. The boys were led by a great race by individual JV champion Jon Huntley, who was joined in scoring by Kyler Koning (3rd), Lincoln Strong (4th), Emerson Bostic (6th) and Nik Pensyl (7th). Adam Fineberg managed the lone PR on a rough day for racing.
The Shamrocks are back in action next Saturday, September 30, in the HCC Championships at White River Elementary in Noblesville.
