Thursday afternoon the Westfield Girls Golf team competed in the Crooked Stick Invitational in Carmel. The Shamrocks battled the windy conditions and tough pin placements to shoot a 325 which was good enough to tie Zionsville but give the Shamrocks the win by three strokes on the fifth woman’s score.
The Shamrocks were led by Jocelyn Bruch who was one of only 5 players that broke 80 on the day. Bruch finished with a 78 and she was followed by Cailyn Henderson who shot a 79. Adrienne Montalone followed with an 82, Natalie Shupe finished with an 86 and Margaret Wentz an 88. Emma Clary played as an individual and finished with a 92. This was the Shamrocks third win in four days.
The Shamrocks will be competing again on Saturday at the Fall Preview at Prairie View Golf Club at 1:00.
