The Westfield Rocks Girls Track and Field team traveled to Fishers for a dual meet between the two Hamilton County schools. The girls competed well and tuned up for their run into the postseason. Rihanna Evans jumped a new personal best in the long jump, distancing 16′ 1.25″ and a first place finish. Freshman Ava Henson also made her presence felt with her third place jump of 15′ 1.5.” In the discus, Westfield finished 2nd and 3rd. Michaela Grimes threw for a new best throw of 92′ 5″, earning her way to 3rd place. She followed teammate Jada Caldwell who placed 2nd with her toss of 97′ 11″. On the track, freshman Alison Bullock showed signs of a breakthrough with her 2nd place finish in the 200 M Dash. Senior Lauren Bailey placed 2nd in the 800 as the captain ran for a time of 2:25.04. Junior Carly Bogdajevicz also placed second in the 3200 M race. The Rocks will next compete at the Zionsville Invite this Friday, April 28th.
