Meet Recap

The Westfield Ladies Track and Field team headed to Noblesville for the Miller Invite on Wednesday, April 19th. Getting a preview of a postseason competitive atmosphere, the Rocks performed valiantly. Highlighting the night was the senior captain Emily Robertson, who registered three personal bests in her three events. Placing second in the 100 M Hurdles, Robertson ran a 15.26; she finished the meet by running a leg of the 4 x 400, which garnered fourth place honors. In an awesome effort, Robertson placed first in the 300 M Hurdles, running a 46.37. Sydney Spears also put in a dominant performance on the oval, winning the 100 M Dash in 12.83 seconds. She went back to work in the 400, placing 2nd at 1:01.07 and then returned once more for the 200, placing third overall at 26.97 seconds. Spears also placed fourth in the long jump. On the distance side, junior Gabrielle Dilick placed third in the mile, willing herself to a time of 5:18.27. Senior teammate Lauren Bailey was hot on her heel, finishing fourth. Carly Bogdajewicz gutted out a 12:11.91 time in the 3200 mile run, earning a 3rd place finish. In the realm of the throws, senior Jada Caldwell achieved a new personal record throw, driving out the shot 41′ 10.5″ for a 2nd place finish. Good job to the Lady Rocks who are aiming to finish the regular season strong!
