The Westfield Lady Rocks Track and Field team had a day full of personal bests in an unscored invitational featuring Indiana’s best track programs. In the field events, personal bests were achieved by Jada Caldwell, Michaela Grimes, Naomi McKenney in the discus throw. Caldwell’s mark earned her a fifth place finish in the discus, pairing nicely with her first place shot put finish. In the shot put, freshmen showed tremendous growth: Adira Crider, Lea Wickham, and Claire Richter all achieved new personal bests, along with senior Katherine Cortez. In the long jump, Westfield paired for a 1-2 finish, with Sydney Spears jumping to top honors at 16′ 6″ and Rihanna Evans close behind at 15′ 10″. In the pole vault, Alicia Berry, Katie DeCraene, and Lauren Ulsas all matched each other’s height at 7’0″. This was a new personal best for Berry. On the oval course, sprinter Hannah Fife tried her hand at distance, running the 800, and came away with a 3rd place finish at 2:39.32. In the 400 M Dash, Emma Luedke, Maggie O’Neal, Ali Zimmerman, and Indira Rodgers all ran their personal bests. No relays were run at this meet.
