Westfield traveled to Don Dunker Field Thursday evening to open a Hoosier Crossroads Conference Series with the Shamrocks. The Rocks got behind early with defensive miscues and weren’t able to recover as the Millers prevailed 6-0. Matthew Robinson started for the Rocks and pitched 3.1 innings allowing two earned runs and striking out two. Offensively, Westfield scattered five hits on the night. Brian Skelton and Evan Tomak each doubled while Trey Anderson, Sam Eaton and Matthew Meyer each added a single. The two are right back at it tonight at Shamrock Field for game two. First pitch is scheduled for 6p.
