On Friday, the Rocks honored their eight seniors prior to game one of a HCC double-header. With four lead changes, the fans that came out to support the Rocks and the eight seniors were treated to a great game. The Rocks led 4-1 until the 4th when the Tigers tied the game up the Westfield answered back with on in the bottom half of the inning. The Rocks never looked back and went on to win the first game of the double-header 8-6. Brian Skelton started for the Rocks and pitched 3.1 innings allowing three earned runs on three hits and striking out five. Matt Meyer relieved Skelton and pitched three strong innings allowing just two earned runs and striking out three. Logan McClurg entered in the 7th inning to get two outs to earn his first save of the season. Offensively, the Rocks pounded out 10 hits on the night. Milo Beam was 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored and a stolen base. Logan McClurg was 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored and Harrison Freed was 1 for 2 with a double and 4 RBI. Logan Schneider contributed a single that scored two as well.
