Multiple Teams · 8 Rocks sign National Letter of Intent


Eight Shamrock Student-Athletes signed their National Letter of Intent to play collegiate athletics.  Listed above are Maddy Grennes, Allison Van Dyke, and Haliegh Reinoehl (sitting) along with Johnny Deck, Evan Eldred, Ryan Pepiot, Milo Beam, and Thomas Lewis (standing).

 

Deck

Pictured above is Johnny Deck who signed his NLI to play golf at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.  Johnny has been a key contributor leading the Rocks to 2 state championships and 1 runner up state championship in his first 3 years on the golf team.  He was named to the 2014 All State team and has made academic honor roll all 4 years at WHS.  At Lipscomb, Johnny plans on majoring in business.  Also pictured above with Johnny are his parents Julie Deck and Mike Deck (sitting), along with John Hoover-Varsity Golf Coach, and Johnny’s grandma (standing).

 

Lewis

Pictured above is Thomas Lewis who signed a NLI to play golf at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.  Thomas has been an anchor for the golf team leading them to 2 state championships and 1 runner up state championship in his first 3 years on the golf team.  He was named to the 2015 All State Team and named a 2015 AJGA Rolex Junior All American.  At Purdue, Thomas plans on majoring in Business or Finance.  Also pictured above are Thomas’ parents, Kris and John Lewis (sitting), along with John Hoover-Varsity Golf Coach, and Andrew Lewis-Brother (standing)

Eldred

Pictured above is Evan Eldred who signed his NLI to wrestle at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  Evan has racked up many accomplishments in his wrestling career including 2013 state finalist, 2015 state finalist-6th place, 2 time Hamilton County Champion, and a 2014 7th place finish in USA Wrestling Cadet National Freestyle Tournament.  At Indiana, Evan plans on majoring in finance and accounting.  Also pictured above with Evan are his parents Kim and Greg Eldred (sitting), along with Michael Wiemer-Varsity Assistant Wrestling Coach and Terry O’Neill-Varsity Wrestling Coach (standing).

Beam

Pictured above is Milo Beam who signed his NLI to play baseball at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.  Milo is a 3 year varsity starter in center field for the Rocks helping them to 2013 and 2015 HCC Championships.  Milo was also named a 2015 Gold Glover winner, a PBR future Team Member, and a Perfect Game High Honorable Mention.  In addition to baseball, Milo is a gifted wide receiver on the varsity football team helping them accomplish 3 sectional championships (2013, 2014, 2101) and a state runner up finish (2013).  He was named pre-season All State as well in 2015.  At Purdue, Milo plans on majoring in business management.  Also pictured above with Milo are his parents Nellie and David Beam (sitting), along with Grace Beam-Sister, Ryan Bunnell-Varsity Baseball Coach, Pat Beam-Brother, and Lyle Beam-Brother (standing).

Pepiot

Pictured above is Ryan Pepiot who signed his NLI to play baseball at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN.  Ryan is a 3 year varsity starter at Shortstop and Pitcher for the Rocks helping them to 2013 and 2015 HCC Championships.  His junior year he was named HCC All Conference.  In addition to baseball, Ryan is a two year starter at Quarterback on the varsity football team helping them accomplish 3 sectional championships (2013, 2014, 2101) and a state runner up finish (2013).  He is also a team captain on the football team.  As a student, Ryan is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on the honor roll all 4 years at WHS.  At Butler, Ryan plans on majoring in business.  Also pictured above with Ryan are his parents Christine and Mike Pepiot (sitting), along with John Oestreich-Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach, Ryan Bunnell-Varsity Baseball Coach, Kyle Pepiot-Brother, Cesar Barrientos-Summer Baseball Coach, and Ken Niles-Summer Baseball Coach (standing).

VanDyke

Pictured above is Allison Van Dyke who signed her NLI to play basketball at Eastern Illinois University in Charlseton, IL.  Allison is a 4 year letter winner in Basketball (Sectional Champions 2013) and has been named to the Hamilton County All Star Team, HCC All Conference Team, Honorable Mention Underclass All Star Team, and player of the game 6 times.  At Eastern Illinois, Allison plans on majoring in Biology.  Also pictured above with Allison are her parents Liz Van Dyke and Scott Van Dyke (sitting), along with Jack Roudebush-AAU Coach, Josh Van Dyke-Brother, Lindsey Van Dyke-Sister, Luke Van Dyke-Brother, Shane Sumpter-Varsity Basketball Coach (Fr-Jr years), and Ginny Smith-Varsity Basketball Coach (Sr year) (standing).

Reinoehl

Pictured above is Haliegh Reinoehl who signed her NLI to play basketball at Akron University in Akron, OH.  Haliegh is a 4 year letter winner (Sectional Champions 2013) in Basketball and has been named to the preseason 3rd Team All State Team and played in North-South All Star Game.  She led the team in rebounding her junior year and is a 2 time captain.  At Akron, Haliegh plans on majoring in Nursing or some other medical field.  Also pictured above with Haliegh are her parents Jeff Reinoehl and Lisa Greaves (sitting), along with Don Grennes-AAU Coach, Shon Bolden-Personal Trainer, Jack Reinoehl-Brother, Scott Greaves-Step-father,  and Ginny Smith-Varsity Basketball Coach (standing).

Grennes

Picture above is Maddy Grennes who signed her NLI to play basketball at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO.  Maddy is a 4 year letter winner in Basketball and helped the Rocks to a Sectional Championship her freshman year.  She also ran cross country 2 years and competed in the IHSAA State Championship Meet.  Maddy will graduate with an honors diploma from WHS.  At Rockhurst, Maddy plans on majoring in Business.  Also pictured above with Maddy are her parents Don and Candy Grennes (sitting), along with Jack Roudebush-Off Season Coach, Courtney Lickliter-Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach, Colby Shiver-Brother, Jeff Reinoehl-AAU Coach, and Ginny Smith-Varsity Basketball Coach (standing).
