Meet Recap

The Shamrocks ascended the podium for the first time in school history on Saturday at the IHSAA State Finals finishing 3rd! Senior captain Alec Hartman was a medalist finishing in 14th and earning All-State honors. Also, earning All-State honors was junior Aaron Bennett. All runners contributed, JV and Varsity, to Saturday’s success, but special note must go to Aaron Bennett and Ethan Parsley. Both of these guys made crucial late charges that made a real difference. Aaron passed 8 guys in the final 400 meters to grab All-State honors, and Ethan Parsley passed 20 guys in the last kilometer! Without those charges we could have finished as low as 11th. Senior Captain Sam Henthorn also ran a solid race to be there for the Rocks. Other competitors who gave their all and capped off fine seasons were Derek Maue, Noah Shourd, and Desmond Herrell. Congrats guys!
