The Wesfield Girls Golf team had a short turn around after winning the Plainfield Inviational teeing off this morning in Lafayette at 8:30 am. Westfield shot a 317, 8 shots better than yesterday, but fell just short of Cathedral who shot a 313. Westfield defeated several highly ranked teams in the 21 team field in earning runner up honors. Sophmore Cailyn Henderson continued to dominance at Battle Grounds Golf Course shooting a two under par 70, which was good enough for runner up medalist honors. Margaret Wentz had a great day as well shooting two over par 74 and finishing 5th overall out of 106 players. Henderson and Wentz combined for 10 birdies on the day. Adrienne Montalone carded an 82 and Morgan Baechle carded a 91 to round out the scoring. Jamilah Pelarios also competed for the Rocks carding a 120 in her first varsity tournament. In the first two days of the season the Rocks are 27-1.
