After dropping the HCC opener on Wednesday night, the Rocks hosted Lafayette Harrison at Shamrock Field on Thursday evening. Jacob Robinson started and continued his impressive start to the season, pitching 5.2 innings while allowing only three hits, no runs and striking out six to earn the win. Jake Dietz pitched 1.1 innings of relief, striking out one. Offensively, the Rocks bats exploded for 12 hits on the night and were led by Nick Ferrer once again as he went 2 for 3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Alec Nelson was 3 for 4 with an RBI. Jake Dietz was 2 for 3 with a triple and Cole McCrary was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Ben Lotfalian added two RBI on the night as well. The Rocks travel to Crawfordsville for an Invitational on Saturday and open with the second game against Bloomington South High School at approximately noon.
