The Fishers Tigers traveled to Westfield Saturday morning for the series finale with the Rocks. Fishers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings and held the lead until the Rocks tied the game in the 5th inning. In the 6th inning, Westfield exploded for seven runs en route to another 10-3 victory. The win puts the Rocks atop the Hoosier Crossroads Conference at 6-0 and with a one game lead over Lafayette Jeff. Chris Ayers started on the mound for Westfield and pitched five innings allowing three earned runs and striking out two. Freshman Max McCool pitched two solid innings of relief without allowing a hit and striking out two to earn his first win of the season and his high school career. Offensively, Cole McCrary provided the firepower, going 3 for 4 with two doubles and 4 RBI. Alec Nelson was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. The Rocks (7-2) will travel to Danville tonight for a 6pm game before opening a HCC series with Brownsburg at home on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm on Wednesday.
