Girls Tennis Finishes 3rd at Hoosier Crossroads Conference Tournament

The Lady Rocks competed in the HCC Conference Tournament with first rounds on Thursday and final 2 rounds on Saturday. The Rocks came out strong and won all first round matches on Thursday. Juliette Grilliot beat HSE 6-1, 6-2 Addi Kooi beat Franklin Central 6-0, 6-1 Isla Harvey beat Avon 7-5, 6-1 Jenna Berry and Bella Rivera beat Avon 6-2, 6-3 Bri Saylor and Carlie Lukowiak beat HSE 6-0, 6-2 On Saturday #2 singles Addi Kooi won her second round against Fishers 6-1, 6-2. She dropped her match to Noblesville 2-6, 1-6 to finish 2nd in her bracket. #3 singles Isla Harvey won her second round against Zionsville 6-2, 6-3 and lost her finals to Noblesville 2-6, 3-6 to finish 2nd in her bracket. #1 singles Juliette Grilliot lost her second round to Fishers 0-6, 0-6 and lost her 3rd round to Zionsville 1-6, 0-6 to finish 4th in her bracket. #1 doubles of Jenna Berry and Bella Rivera lost a close 2nd round to Zionsville going to a 3rd set tiebreaker 4-6, 7-6 (2), 9-11. They dropped their 3rd round to Noblesville 2-6, 5-7 to finish in 4th place in their bracket. #2 doubles of Bri Saylor and Carlie Lukowiak lost their 2nd round to Zionsville 4-6, 5-7 but fought back to win their 3rd round against Noblesville 6-4, 6-3 to finish in 3rd place in their bracket. The Lady Rocks finished the day tied for 3rd place with Zionsville. Fishers Lady Tigers captured the title with 37 points in the tournament. Westfield finished with 30 points.
