The Westfield Shamrocks JVW snatched the lead late in their 4-3 victory over Noblesville on Thursday. The game was tied at three in the top of the fifth when Robbie Brandenburg drew a walk, scoring one run. The Shamrocks got on the board in the top of the second inning after Brandenburg singled, Coltyn Price hit into a fielder's choice, and Bryce Swadener singled, each scoring one run. Landon Campbell earned the win for The Westfield Shamrocks JVW. The righty gave up four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Aiden Trevino pitched three innings of no-run ball for Westfield in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking none. Brandenburg led The Rocks with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Leadoff hitter Swadener led Westfield with two hits in four at bats. Logan Sumpter led Westfield with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. The Shamrocks turned one double play by Coltyn Price which ended the game. The Shamrocks improve their record to 10-1 and look to take on Kokomo in a double header at Kokomo on Saturday.
