The 9th ranked Rocks traveled to top ranked Center Grove tonight for a non-conference game. The Rocks jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the game but the explosive bats of the Trojans tied it in the 5th inning and went ahead 11-10 in the 6th. The Rocks tied the game at 11 in the top of the 7th where it remained tied until the Trojans scored on a bases loaded fielders choice to walk it off. Jackson Blevins got a no-decision, pitching 5.2 innings while allowing 4 earned runs and striking out 7. Offensively, the Rocks had 9 hits and were lead by Nick Fero who was 2-4 with 3 RBI and a stolen base. Lincoln Hoffman was 2-4 with an RBI. Alex Rudolph had a big 3 RBI double on the night. Brayden Hibler, Ben Wasserstrom and Tyler Gentry each contributed and RBI. The Rocks will look to rebound tomorrow when they travel to Lawrence Central for a 6p game with the Bearcats.
