The Shamrocks fought hard but couldn't keep pace with New Palestine on Monday. New Palestine took an early lead in the first inning. Elaina Bottorff hit into a fielder's choice, which helped the Shamrocks tie the game at two in the top of the fourth inning. Ali Kainrath was in the circle for Westfield. Kainrath only gave up four runs over six innings with zero walks. Hayden Rice led the Shamrocks at the plate with three hits in four at bats. Lauren Arehart and Bottorff each drove in one run. Dylan Todd collected two hits in three at bats. The team played solid defense all night without committing a single error. Mac Delph led the team at shortstop making some tough plays. The Rocks are back in action again tonight at home against Fishers.
