Rocks Fall to #4 Wildkats in Back and Forth Affair

Westfield traveled to Kokomo Municipal Stadium on Monday, May 15th for a non-conference game with the 4th ranked Wildkats. Kokomo jumped out to a 1-0 lead before the Rocks answered with 2 runs the following inning.  The Kats tied the game in the bottom half of the inning before scoring three runs late to win 5-2.  Matthew Meyer started for the Rocks and pitched 5.1 innings  while allowing 4 earned runs and striking out two.  Trey Anderson the Rocks out of a jam in the 6th inning by getting two outs with the bases loaded without allowing a run.  Offensively, Meyer had a big day as well going 3 for 3 with a double.  Logan McClurg added  a double and RBI as well.
