Game Recap

The Rocks Varsity Softball team had to come from behind to beat Fishers in an HCC conference game 10-8 on Monday evening. The team trailed 3-0 and 4-3 in the game but had a big fifth and sixth inning to take the lead and then held on to close the game out. Offensively the Rocks had several bright spots. Dory Thompson was 3-4 with two RBIs and Kelsey Powers was 1-4 with a Grand Slam and five RBIs on the night. Lexi Martin, Ashley Swartout and Cassidy Ferrer each had two hits while Grace Beam, Caroline Maymon each had a hit. Alexis McClure collected a big two out two RBI hit in the fifth inning to help the team take a 6-4 lead. Cassidy Ferrer earned the victory in circle as she pitched a complete game. While she allowed 10 hits Ferrer collected seven strikeouts. The team plays again on Tuesday evening, for Senior night, against Anderson. First pitch is set for 5:30 PM EST.
