After winning both games of a doubleheader on Saturday, the Rocks traveled to Avon Monday to go for the HCC series split.  Matthew Robinson started on the mound for the Rocks and had a solid outing going four innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out five.  Avon led 4-1 in the 5th when Cam Nance delivered a pinch-hit RBI single and the Rocks pulled to within one run of the Orioles in the inning.  Avon responded with two runs in the bottom of the sixth to expand the lead to 6-3 and eventually winning the game by that score.  Offensively, the Rocks had four hits, led by a Matthew Meyer triple and Nance’s RBI single.  Westfield will open their final HCC series on Thursday at Fishers against the 2nd ranked and HCC leading Tigers.  First pitch is scheduled for 6p.
